O kleine stad, o Bethlehem is een vrije vertaling door E.C. Wesselius van de bekende Christmas Carrol O Little town of Bethlehem . De tekst hiervan is van Phillipp Brooks. De Liedbundel met Bijbellezingen heeft dit lied 2 keer: eenmaal met de vertrouwde melodie Forest Green ( No. 274) en eenmaal met de melodie St. Louis van Lewis Redner (no. 276)

are met in thee tonight.

while mortals sleep, the angels keep
their watch of wond’ring love.
O morning stars, together
proclaim the holy birth!
